Bienville Orthopedic Group developed a new main campus off Hwy 10 in Gautier, MS and we were asked to develop a new Ambulatory Surgery Center on the campus.
After studying the existing ASC, we realized that it would be best to step away from their existing 2-OR ASC and build a new facility adjacent to their existing clinic. This approach allowed them to maximize the site, continue operating their existing facility during construction, and after the new surgery center is opened allow them to convert the existing ASC into a pain management clinic.
The result is an 8-OR facility with sterile processing and supply feeding into all operating rooms. Operating rooms now exceed current Orthopedic operating room standards. Ample storage is provided through-out the facility. Pre-op consists of 10 new beds around a central nurse station and PACU consists of 16 beds around the central nurse’s station promoting better patient care. A large lobby provided ample space for families and care givers to wait for patients in a comfortable naturally lit environment.
